Vince Young Coming Into His Own

It has been recently discussed  that Vince Young is trying to become more of a passing Quarteback rather than the flashy rookie Quarteback that took him to the Pro-Bowl last year.  This however is not true, Vince is not trying to become a passing Quarteback he is trying to become a leader and a better game manager.  In order for a Quarteback to be succesful in the NFL they have to be able to throw the ball now days, it isn’t like college where you run option right and then option left with your Quarteback.  Jeff Fisher has said that young has improved alot from last season in his ability to know the offense, manage the offense, and anticipate what the defense is going to do.  So Vince is not just trying to prove himself as a Quarteback he is trying to prove his team as winners.  Bye being more patient and letting things open up in the offense he has helped the 1-2 hit of LenDale White and Chris Brown develop nicely this year. Don’t worry you guys who want to see some more flashy things from Vince, he will continue to put on a show and most of all he will continue to win games.  I will be writing a post game post after the Bucs game so stay tuned. Lastly, just a fun filled fact about Vince Young is that it is his second game in the league and he has already led 5 game winning drives! WOW he is amazing. If you have any comments or concerns I am very open to comments on this blog and will reply to you as soon as I receive them

“There aren’t many kids coming out of college that are capable of doing those things as quickly as Vince has done them. It’s a rare exception to the rule. … At the NFL level, there is so much to learn and understand. If you don’t have the (physical) ability and the mental ability to back it up, you’re not going to experience success as early on.”

Vince Young vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

October 9, 2007

The One-Two punch of Chris Brown and LenDale White

This week against the Bucs I think the Titans are going to run the ball rather than pass it as much because the Bucs have a defensive pass rank of 9 but they have an defensive rush rank of 22. With the one two punch of Chris Brown and LenDale White along with Vince’s ability to scramble it seems like they are going to rack up alot of rushing yards. The key for the Titans this week is going to be score early and keep the ball on the ground. Vince in the past weeks has done very well at hitting the open reciever and when need be he is going to do it this week. Another key is to continue playing well on defense bye stopping Earnest Graham the only healthy running back still on Tampa Bay. Also if the Titans are behind after the Third Quarter don’t worry because he has produced the most in the 4th quarter by far. In the 4th Quarter Vince has almost 5% points higher in completion and 2 of the three Td’s he has thrown this year took place in the 4th Quarter. So if they get behind early don’t get too worried Vince wins games and he will be able to pull them out from behind.

Bitter Sweet Week for Vince Young

October 9, 2007

 Vince Young

This week was a bitter sweet week for Vince Young after his poor performance.  Vince threw three interceptions this week and zero touchdowns.  He ended up throwing for 157 yards and had 8 rushing attempts for 27 yards.  We have all seen better from Vince Young in the past and I hope he got it out of the way this week when his defence picked him up.  Despite his awful game the Titans came back with a big defensive Touchdown to put them up 20 to 13.  With the lance chance the Falcons had to tie the game Kyle Vanded Bosch came up huge by sacking Byron Leftwich.

STAY TUNED FOR FURTHER UPDATES ON VINCE AND THE TITANS
